Bethany Youth

Children’s Church - age 5 to 12

The Bethany children are all invited to Children’s Church each Sunday. They attend the first part of the service along with the adults. They are dismissed before the scripture reading for that day,  and are led to the Youth Area where they attend lively lessons supplied by highly rated group publishers and are Bible based studies with lots of videos, games, and crafts. The children also put on the annual Christmas Pageant, and are involved in other activities with the congregation.

Monthly Youth Activities – Ages 4 – 16

Every month we provide an activity for our youth. 

In the summer we have  swimming, kayaking and a picnic at the lake. In the fall, we go hiking or we may attend one of the plays put on by our local Bigfork Theater. In January, we have a slumber party which includes a movie night for all ages, followed by a sleep over for the older youth. In February we have a Valentines Party to include making and decorating cookies and valentines for their family members. March usually includes a Pancake Breakfast put on by the youth to raise funds. In the spring, we may have a Nature Study Hike which includes finding a Geocache followed by a picnic. Children are also provided the opportunity to be involved in a work project, such as cleaning or raking at the church. During the Christmas season we go caroling at a retirement home.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is held in the mornings, for a week, right after school ends in June. We invite all children of the community, and have larger (30-40 students) gatherings. Again, we use the highly rated group materials. This material, usually leads us to divide to children into 4 groups, who then rotate through four lively but instructive activity centers. Of course, we include a fun snack.
