Shawn Osborne is a Moorhead, MN native. He graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran School (Fargo, ND) in 1989, Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) in 1994 with a B.A. in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and Lutheran Brethren Seminary in 2006 with a M.Div. degree. Shawn is a veteran of the North Dakota Air National Guard (Security Forces), the Army (Ranger) and the Navy (Chaplain).

Shawn was called to serve as Bethany Lutheran Church's Senior Pastor in 2020 

The attributes that best describe Shawn as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development, and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Bethany Lutheran Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ.

Shawn and his wife, Karen, were married in 1999.  They have two grown children, Lydia and Seth.
